The top two free-agent wide receivers -- Santonio Holmes and Sidney Rice -- are off the market, leaving a group with plenty of question marks.
The remaining receivers include Steve Smith (injury issue), Braylon Edwards (character issue), Plaxico Burress (legal issue) and one who has been known more for his issues than catches recently.
That's Randy Moss. He's a risk because of his age (34) and attitude. Is he a moody receiver who is a shell of himself? Or is he primed for another monstrous comeback with the right team?
It's certainly a gamble, and the Ravens have to determine if it's one they're willing to take with the release of Derrick Mason.
The Ravens were once interested in Moss. It was six years ago when the Ravens talked with the Minnesota Vikings about trading for him.
Moss is two years removed from catching 83 passes for 1,264 yards and 13 touchdowns. But last year, he combined for 28 catches with three teams (although he managed to scored five touchdowns).
